This device utilizes the FDR (Frequency Domain Reflectometry) principle to measure soil moisture content across different layers by analyzing frequency variations of electromagnetic waves emitted by the sensor in materials with varying dielectric coefficients. It simultaneously employs a high-precision digital temperature sensor to monitor soil temperature at each layer.
