Ruhr IoT Metro and Light Rail Health Monitoring System fully utilizes modern intelligent sensing, communication, network, and computing technologies. Through real-time monitoring of environmental loads and structural responses of metro and light rail, combined with analysis and intelligent assessment of structural safety status, it provides necessary and reliable data for evaluating the working status, safety, and normal usability of metro and light rail structures during construction and operation phases. It also provides decision-making basis for the safety control and maintenance management of metro and light rail structures throughout their entire life cycle.

  • Structural instability
    Due to environmental degradation, traffic loads, human factors and environmental factors, subways and light rails structures can suffer varying degrees of damage and deterioration. In extreme cases, this may lead to catastrophic events.
  • Subgrade Settlement
    Subgrade is the structure that bears and transmits the weight of the track and the dynamic forces of the train. It is the foundation of the track and a crucial structure for ensuring train operation. The roadbed is an earth-rock structure situated in various terrains, geological conditions, hydrological environments, and climates, and is sometimes subject to various disasters such as floods, landslides, and earthquakes.     Real-time Security Situation Awareness involves continuously monitoring subgrade settlement, internal displacement, cracks, and other structural deformation conditions, as well as soil stress and pore pressure, to timely assess the safety conditions of railways.
  • Auto Reporting Abnormal Situations
    In the event of track deformation and subgrade settlement, the system will notify regulatory authorities and management personnel through video, SMS, and voice calls.
  • Maintenance Guidance for Higher Efficiency
    Based on the assessment results, provide guidance to assist subways/ light rails managers in developing more efficient plans for maintenance .
